I was given the opportunity to speak, examine patients and also help out with ward work including taking bloods. This was all during my Colorectal Team specialty block
Got to examine and take histories from patients.

The surgical colorectal team specialty placement was great. I had the opportunity to see ward work. The medical education specialty placement had a very good team. I really enjoyed designing a simulation and their guidance helped throughout
Enjoyed time in both stroke and GP OOH specialties. Made to feel welcome. Had shadowing opportunities as well as practical opportunities with patients and being able to chat to them, examine, do procedures. FY1 in stroke was valuable in getting me writing up the notes
