Environmental management plans define the objectives of management for a site and set out a programme of activities for a fixed period of time, usually five years. Fieldwork will be conducted at a local site where you will collect a variety of biological and physical data relevant to the management goals for your plan. With structured support in the classroom you will set long and short-term management objectives, prepare a description of the site, analyse past management practices, develop a planning structure, set out management prescriptions to be adopted, prepare prescriptions for environmental protection and set out a financial forecast for the plan period.
