Course Overview

Students will complete an empirical project, under the supervision of a member of staff, where the student collects and analyses data in answer to a specific research question.   The aim is to further develop the skills and knowledge necessary to carry out psychological research at a very high standard.

Course Description

The course will provide students with the opportunity to complete a profession level piece of research under the supervision of a member of academic staff. Students will develop a research proposal based on the current research literature. They will implement this proposal, developing materials, running the study and analyse and interpreting their data. They will then produce a report on their project which will be the main form of assessment for the course.
