The course provides an opportunity for students to focus on the world of work, as well as on a specific area of the museum sector as a workplace which interests them. Across the course, they will be given teaching in potential museum roles, applications (including CVs, Cover Letters and Interviews), self-reflection and CPD planning, as well as being able to attend interviews with a variety of individuals at different stages of their museum career. The portfolio they produce will allow them to conduct a short piece of research on their own terms, focusing on their future potential roles in the sector.
