Course Description

This course builds on the work carried out in Research Project Part I. During this course, students analyse the material they collected in Part One and, under the guidance of a member of staff, prepare and write the final report.

The techniques of analysis vary with the nature of the research problem; however all students are guided in the arts of:

critical analysis of existing literature

applying relevant theory to ethnography;

report planning and writing.

As in Part 1, particular emphasis is placed on helping students develop their own skills.

This course is an essential component of the Single Honours Anthropology degree programme. This course will normally only be available to Single Honours students in Anthropology and is a core element of the honours programme.
