Through business-themed lectures and tutorials/workshops, students will be introduced to:
- Theoretical concepts of data, information, and knowledge and their application in business decision-making
- Common marketplace analysis systems such as SWOT, VCA and PESTEL analysis modelling
- Electronic systems for data storage and use
- Methods describing how to prepare and present information such that it becomes knowledge-of-value for business decision-making
- Excel spreadsheet software and a range of associated functions for the manipulation and presentation of data
- Practical information on working and collaborating in teams
