(The University is not responsible for obtaining suitable professional employment.) Duration: 3 to 5 years part-time in normal circumstances but exceptionally can be extended to 7 years. This degree is not available full-time in Aberdeen. Content: All candidates shall be required to attend the following designated programme of courses: For the Certificate: GP 5004 Primary Care, Working Together Creatively (20 credit points) Elective courses to the value of 40 credit points - see below For the Diploma: GP 5004 Primary Care, Working Together Creatively (20 credit points) Elective courses to the value of 100 credit points - see below For the MSc: All of the courses for the Diploma plus GP 5801 Dissertation in Primary Care (60 credit points) Candidates will only be allowed to progress to the Dissertation stage on completion of GP 5004 (Core course) and additional courses to the value of 100 credit points at an appropriate standard. Elective Courses: Candidates may undertake elective courses at any of the partner institutions but must complete the majority of credit at the 51cg. The titles and SCOTCAT points are indicated in the programme handbook. The Aberdeen Programme Co-ordinator will advise which combinations are permitted on an individual basis.
