Applications will also be considered from candidates with at least a II Honours degree in History that includes a strong component of religious history. Duration: 12 months full-time Aims: The taught MTh is intended to give students with an undergraduate background in Divinity, Religious Studies or Religious History an opportunity to study Church History at an advanced level and to acquire the skills and background necessary for independent postgraduate research and teaching in this area. It will also appeal to those who wish to further an interest in Christian History as part of a programme of life-long learning. Content: Students are required to take: DR 5062 Method in Theology (10 credit points) DR 5063 Dissertation Colloquium (10 credit points) These courses form the core of all taught MTh programmes in Divinity and Religious Studies. In addition, students take a further four elective courses and write a supervised dissertation of approximately 15-20,000 words on a topic related to the degree.
