They must have previous relevant experience and be able to undertake studies and related developments in their workplace setting or other appropriate agency. Duration: 24-60 months by part-time study. Aims: The aims of the programme are to extend the skills, knowledge and understanding of the students by giving them opportunities to: 1. review and appraise critically policy and research literature as a preparation for taking enterprising approaches to the development of the curriculum and practice 2. explore critically values, purposes and principles surrounding enterprising approaches to learning 3. review and appraise critically the contribution that team-working, decision making, creative thinking, problem solving, risk taking, reviewing and evaluating, peer and self-assessing can make to the development of Enterprise in Education 4. identify, explore and evaluate opportunities to develop these skills and approaches across the curriculum 5. critically review policy, research and practice in order to identify, plan, implement, evaluate, quality assure and report on an innovative project in the area of Enterprise in Education. Content: The programme is comprised of three compulsory courses: ED 50AW Enterprise: Principles, Practice and Contexts (15 credit points) ED 50AX Enterprising Thinking (15 credit points) ED 50AY Designing Learning in Enterprise in Education (30 credit points) Assessment: Formative assessment is a feature of all courses. Formative and summative assessments are designed to arise naturally from the work.
