They must have previous relevant experience and be able to undertake studies and related developments in their workplace setting or other appropriate agency. Duration: 24-60 months by part-time study. Aims: The aims of the programme are to extend the skills, knowledge and understanding of the students by giving them opportunities to: review and appraise critically policy and research literature as a preparation for promoting the creativity of learners explore critically the values, purposes and principles surrounding the promotion of creativity in learning review and appraise critically the contribution that creativity can make to the development of learners and learning identify, explore and evaluate opportunities to develop critical and creative thinking skills across the curriculum critically review policy, research and practice in order to identify, plan, implement, evaluate, quality assure and report on an innovative project to enhance creativity or thinking skills in a classroom setting Content: The programme is comprised of three compulsory courses: ED 50BD Creativity in Learning and Teaching (15 credit points) ED 50BE Thinking Skills (15 credit points) ED 50BF Design for Learning: Creativity and Thinking Skills (30 credit points) Assessment: Formative assessment is a feature of all courses.
