Duration: 12 months full-time or 24 months part-time (MRes/PgDip). Aim: To equip students for research career in the area of drug discovery. To achieve this, the programme will provide a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of drug discovery and development with a mixture of taught material and hands on practical research projects. Content: The taught courses will comprise lectures, tutorials, practical classes and small group demonstrations in laboratories. The curriculum includes aspects of drug discovery, drug development and drug design as well as drug transport, metabolism and excretion, molecular biology and bioanalytical methods e.g. mass spectroscopy, statistics, computing studies.
