Jeanne de Jussie (1503-1561) and Reformation in Geneva

Marie-Luise Ehrenschwendtner has widelypublished on various areas of female spirituality in the late Middle Ages. Her research also includes the early Reformation, especially the influence of Lutheran theology on the first English Reformers. She is currently expanding her research to the early Reformation experience of Jeanne de Jussie, a Genevan nun who documented the role of the Protestant Reformation in the Poor Clares convent in Geneva and attacked the marriage of nuns, proposed by the Protestants, as a heresy.
