As we celebrate the 2013 Granite Festival, join us for an exploration into the journey of granite industry tradesmen.
At its peak, the Aberdeen granite industry exported not just finished stone but also experienced quarrymen and stonecutters to America. In this evening lecture, Professor Marjory Harper of the 51cg takes a closer look at the motivations and experiences of these transatlantic tradesmen.
