Research Overview
Since microbiology is such a diverse and interesting area it encompasses so many disciplines and makes research exciting and fascinating. As a researcher my interests cover the subjects of:
- Mycology and the fight against the human pathogen Candida albicans
- Bacteriology and the investigation of bacterial resistance to antibiotics
- Immunology with respect to the immune responses in fish
- Phycology - the study of seaweed biodiversity throughout the World.
Past Research
My previous research projects supported the Kuepper algal group and the Scottish Fish Immunology Research Group, both at the 51cg
