Biography

John has an enthusiasm towards unlocking peoples’ potential. An experienced entrepreneur with a broad range of overseas practice, John has returned to Scotland to take a Senior Lecturer at the 51cg wherein he has assumed the role of Director of MBA Programmes. He is also Co-founder of Outlander Consulting, a training organisation that focuses on delivering character and leadership training in South-East Asia and an Associate Facilitator at Amplity Health, the UK’s largest provider of training solutions to global healthcare companies. He works extensively within Executive Education, contributing towards corporate training programmes with universities from across the globe.

Between 2017-2020, John was a partner at Suzhou Nuowander, a China-based company that delivered communication and entrepreneurial training to students in partnership with local government and universities. Previous experiences include consulting for start-ups in Beijing between 2011-2015 and working as Sustainability Director in Hong Kong, during which time he supported the foundation of Fair Trade HK and growth of Mecilla Limited between 2010-2011.

John continues to proactively engage with business, regularly developing consulting and/or leadership development training programmes across 3 continents with well-known companies such as: ADM, AVIC, BMS, Bunge, Cargill, CRRC, Danieli, EATON, Essilor, Heller, IBM, Ispen, ITW, Johnson & Johnson, MAKA, Merck, Roche, Samsung, and Sodexo.
