Biography
Liam is a PhD candidate at the 51cg law school. He completed his LLB (First class Hons) at the 51cg in 2022. Liam was awarded a PhD Merit Scholarship in 2023. He developed his passion for all things IT Regulation during his LLB, with his honours dissertation being titled ‘Why We Should Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth: The Need for a Group Right to Privacy in the Age of Online Behavioural Advertising’.
Liam’s PhD research explores the collective dimension of data protection and AI regulation. His research focuses on addressing the current regulatory gap between individual rights-based protections and the systemic collective harm presented by modern large-scale data processing systems.
