Biography

Lizeth joined the 51cg as a PhD researcher in March 2023. Her research focuses on the development of a viable regulatory framework for conscientious objection in medicine in Mexico. Lizeth’s current research interests include international human rights law, public international law, constitutional law and medical law. She holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Human Rights from the 51cg, UK. She further holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Autonomous Metropolitan University, Mexico. Before coming to Aberdeen, Lizeth worked at the Ministry of Economy in Mexico, where she was involved in the negotiation of the Pacific Alliance-Singapore Free Trade Agreement and the defence of the Mexican government in Investor-State Dispute Settlement cases.
