Biography

Luci Carey is a Lecturer in Commercial law at the 51cg. Prior to joining 51cg, Luci was a Teaching Fellow in Commercial Law at the University of Edinburgh where she is undertaking a PhD examining the legal and liability implications for the introduction of autonomous vessels. Luci’s research interests are predominantly commercial law, and shipping and maritime law and the impact of new technologies in these areas. She spent 5 years as a Research Associate at the Centre for Maritime Law, National University of Singapore. Before entering academia, she worked as Research Associate to the President of the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of Western Australia.
