Biography

Mia Koponen is a Research Assistant in the Epidemiology group at the 51cg. Her work focuses on musculoskeletal health services. Mia contributes to several studies, including social prescribing interventions to reduce barriers to social engagement in rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders (SPARK), patient-initiated follow-up in rheumatology (PIFU), early detection of knee osteoarthritis (PIOKNEER), examining patient and public involvement in musculoskeletal research (LIFT), and a reseach collaboration supporting workers with long-term conditions to remain in work (Scottish Centre for Work and Health).
