Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor), and the Progamme Leader for Undergraduate Business Management programmes at AFG College, Qatar with the 51cg. 

I completed my PhD at York University, Toronto in the field of Human Resource Management. I am also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and have held academic positions in Canada and the UK. Prior to pivoting into a career in academia I spent several years working as a HR practitioner in financial services firms. I have also provided specialised workshops and consulting work in the areas of HRM and management and leadership.  

My key areas of teaching include human resource management, business management, and organisational studies. I have taught and supervised dissertations at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

My research draws on critical and interpretive approaches to exploring individuals' career experiences in a variety of contexts, and alternative ways in thinking about and studying careers in the modern and changing world of work.
