Some of our fantastic research fellows communicated their work to families and schools for British Science Week.
Dr Jacqui Hutchison, a postdoctoral researcher in the , gave talks on stereotypes and Psychology to local primary school children. She explained what stereotypes are and how we come to hold them, both from a social and a cognitive perspective. She also talked about what it's like to be a research Psychologist and what skills you might need to become one.
Dr Chris Luke and Dr Gillian Slessor, postdoctoral researchers on the ESRC-funded , wowed adults and children alike with interactive eye-tracking games and visual illusions. Postgraduate student Gosia Kasprzyk also helped out at the event, which was held at the Aberdeen Science Centre as part of a science Discovery Day.
