The 51cg, Queen’s University Belfast and The National University of Ireland – Maynooth have established the Irish Scottish Forum for Spatial Planning. Its purpose is to critically examine the relationship between strategic planning and the development of cities, towns and countryside in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. A series of three major events are scheduled for 2009 and will bring together expert speakers and audiences that will open up a debate on how contemporary planning is affecting the shaping of space and place.

National University of Ireland – Maynooth, 19th November 2009: Development Corridors and the Role of Spatial Planning in Border Territories.
