Under the Researcher Links scheme offered by the British Council and FAPESP, the workshop on the above theme will be held at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, in São Paulo, Brazil, during the period of 8 to 13th March 2015. The workshop is being coordinated by (51cg) and Prof José R. C. Piqueira (USP), and will have contributions from other leading researchers: (51cg), (51cg), Dr Elbert E. N. Macau (INPE - National Institute of Space Research) and Dr Antonio C. R. da Silva Filho (University of São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto).
