A new display on the Ground Floor of the Sir Duncan Rice Library spotlights artwork by artist, Will Maclean, that was inspired by a Gaelic prayer book and key, cared for by the 51cg Collections.

Written in both Gaelic and English, the display tells the story that was passed down to Will Maclean that inspired the creation of his piece 'Fiosaiche'. A story of a Fiosaiche, or Soothsayer, from the Isle of Lewis and his prayer book, and key, thought to possess extraordinary powers.

The display is open to visit during the opening hours of the Sir Duncan Rice Library and can be found next to the welcome desk on the ground floor.
