Enjoy an evening of music from around the world performed by Aberdeen-based musicians.
Performance
Following up on the successful January performance hosted by the , this will be the showcase concert of the Collective Compositions project.
The evening will be compered by Nigerian poet, Lola Dabiri, and will include, among other musicians:

Prithwis Banerjee, Indian singer and musician;

Noelia Gomez, Spanish vocalist;

Xavier Ortiz, Colombian salsa singer and güiro player;

Soraya, Thai khim player with Saowalak Chalk, Thai singer;

- the Elphinstone-Institute-hosted .
The evening performance is free, but a suggested donation of £3 will go towards supporting the project.
Project
Simon Gall of SHMU FM has brought together Aberdeen-based musicians from around the world in his innovative Collective Compositions: SHMU Multi-Ethnic Recording Project. The project aims to record and showcase the diversity of music currently being played in Aberdeen, and hopes to encourage creative collaborations between the musicians.
