Biography
Franco- American, Elisabeth Chaumont-Sturtevant graduated from Bangor University (Wales) in 2018 with a BA (hons) in History, Heritage and Archaeology. In 2019, she completed her MSc in Osteoarchaeology at the 51cg (Scotland) under the supervision of Professor Rebecca Crozier. Her masters research focused on trauma associated to interpersonal violence present on Medieval skeletons from the site ‘The Green’ in Aberdeen.
Starting Autumn 2020, Elisabeth will continue on at the 51cg as a PhD student under the supervision of the professors Rebecca Crozier and Marc Oxenham, focusing on a the analysis of Bronze Age Scottish cremations and their mortuary context.
