Biography
Jamie is a Cartographer in the School of Geoscience. Having joined as a trainee in 2016, he has since gone on to work and study at the University reaching a MSc level.
Since 2023, Jamie was given responsibility for the Drawing Office (Cartography) which is considered to have been established with Geography in 1919.
I began my career as a draughtsman in Aberdeen's energy sector before turning to more creative pursuits in the Scottish Highlands gaining a BA at UHI. Always having an interest in the world through Cartography, I now implement the tools of GIS and my design skills to produce maps and offerings the Drawing Office has provided over its long history at the University.
Since 2025, Jamie has also taken over the responsibility of Marco Photography.
