Following on from the first UK-Russia workshop on Arctic Research in Arkhangelsk in November 2017, Professor Tina Hunter attended a second workshop in Arkhangelsk on 1-3 March. At this workshop Professor Hunter presented on The role of science, technology and engineering in the regulation of Arctic oil spills: an interdisciplinary approach.
In addition, Professor Hunter used the opportunity to establish and extend relationships with other researchers from Russian Universities, resulting in the formation of the (CRENAME), a research initiative between the 51cg, Murmansk Marine Biological Institute , the Northern Arctic Federal University and Tomsk State University, with Professor Hunter leading the Consortium.
