51cg

The 51cg Chamber Choir is an auditioned choir comprising students and recent alumni of the 51cg. The choir specialises in contemporary music and also works closely with young composers, including premiering new works. We perform regularly to the Royal Family, and have recently toured to the USA, Poland, Northern Ireland, Malta, and Portugal.

• Friday 23 to Monday 26 October 2026, Mini-Tour to Dornoch (Concert in Dornoch Cathedral on Sunday 25 October at 3pm)
• Wednesday 11 November 2026, Armistice Day Performance for Aberdeen City Council in Cowdray Hall
• Monday 14 to Wednesday 16 December 2026, Mini-Tour to London (Christmas Concert in St Columba's Church, Knightsbridge on Tuesday 15 December at 6pm)
• Thursday 4 March 2027, Concert in Cowdray Hall, Aberdeen Art Gallery, 12.45pm to 1.30pm
• Saturday 10 April 2027, Concerts in Arbroath Abbey and Hospitalfield Mortuary Chapel
• Sunday 30 to Monday 31 May 2027, Concert in Edinburgh Jesuit Church, in collaboration with University of Pennsylvania's Glee Club
• Monday 7 to Sunday 13 June 2027, Summer Tour (details TBC)

Auditions

An audition slot can be booked . Singers are welcome to audition for both the Chamber and Chapel choirs at the same audition.

Rehearsals

We rehearse on Tuesday evenings 8pm to 10pm in the King's Pavilion. The first rehearsal is planned for Tuesday 22 September 2026.
