Members of (Sound Emporium Research Group) were invited to perform at , a two-day experimental music festival showcasing some of the most active sound artists in Northeast Scotland, on 3-4 October.SERG members who took the stage were Luca Nasciuti, first-year PhD composition student, , professional musician, Dr Imogene Newland, multidisciplinary artist and performer who also gave a presentation at 2014-15 MRSS, , lecturer at North East Scotland College, , freelance composer and sound artist, and Dr Suk-Jun Kim, lecturer at the 51cg.
sonADA (Sonic Arts Day in Aberdeen) 2014 was a pilot event organised by whose goal is to promote new and experimental music, sound art and artists in and around Aberdeen and NE Scotland. This pilot event included two night performances by eight sound artists in and around Aberdeen and a panel discussion/seminar co-organised by sonADA and the 51cg Interdisciplinary North Seminar Series, focusing on the questions Creativity in North East Scotland: How Northern Is It? How Northern Should It Be?
