Biography

Dr Oleksandr Menshykov is a Reader in Engineering. In 2021-2024 he served as the School Director of Undergraduate Teaching. He is a Fellow of AdvanceHE, a Chartered Engineer, and a Member of Institution of Mechanical Engineers. After graduating in Applied Mathematics from Kharkiv National University (Ukraine) in 2000, Dr Menshykov did his PhD and DSc in Solid Mechanics at Timoshenko Institute of Mechanics (Kyiv, Ukraine). Prior to joining the 51cg in 2005, he was a holder of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Fellowship at the University of Stuttgart (Germany).
