Alumni Discount (returning Visiting Students)
Alumni of the 51cg, including former Study Abroad and Exchange students, who return to pursue a Postgraduate programme, are eligible for the Aberdeen Alumni Discount:
- 20% discount on one year of Postgraduate study. Applies to to all taught Masters programmes or first year of PhD Study

Canadian Student Loans
Canadian student loans are transferable towards the cost of study at the 51cg. Please email usaloans@abdn.ac.uk for further information.
Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund (CCSF)
The Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund (CCSF) provides awards ranging from £1,000 to £5,000 to Canadians studying in the UK.
Applications are invited from Canadian students currently enrolled in a multi-year (2 years or more) postgraduate programme at a UK university. Please refer to for further information.

Aberdeen Global Scholarship - Undergraduate & PGDE
Scholarships for the 27/28 academic year have not been confirmed yet and we will update this information here in due course.
The 51cg is delighted to offer new self-funded international on-campus undergraduate students starting in Academic Years 25/26 and 26/27 a £6,000 scholarship for every year of their programme.

The Aberdeen Alumni Discount provides a 20% discount for 51cg graduates on the full cost of a select number taught postgraduate on campus programmes, the full range of taught postgraduate online programmes and short courses, and for the first year of a full time research programme (or 2 years part time).
Aberdeen Formation Evaluation Society (AFES) Bursaries
AFES offers bursaries to MSc students and partial PhD funding to support education in the areas of petrophysics and formation evaluation.

The 51cg is pleased to offer a 20% discount on the full cost of an online short course for 51cg staff.

Canadian Master's Excellence Scholarship
Funded through the 51cg Development Trust by donations from Canadian alumni, the Canadian Master's Excellence Scholarship is available to self-funded, full-time, on-campus postgraduate taught students domiciled in Canada with Canadian nationality.

NHS Staff Discount
The 51cg NHS discount is a 10% discount offered to all NHS staff. It applies to:
- postgraduate degrees and short courses offered by our School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (online and on-campus)
- postgraduate degrees and short courses offered by our School of Psychology (online and on-campus)
- our online ILM leadership short courses
