Undergraduate academic entry requirements
Sri Lanka Advanced Level
Business, Arts and Social Sciences: BCC at A-level . B is required where the prospectus specifies good performance in a subject.
Science: As above + 2 science subjects (or one science and one maths subject).
Engineering: As above + B in maths + at least one from physics, design & technology, engineering or chemistry). B in chemistry required for chemical and petroleum engineering.
Medicine: AAA at A-level. Chemistry + at least one of physics, biology, maths (+1 other subject). Please consult the Medicine entry requirements page for more information.
Advanced entry to Year 2
BSc and MA programmes: Applicants who have achieved at least ABB as well as at least A in the relevant subject areas of the degree they are applying for can apply for entry to Year 2 of a 4 or 5 year MA or BSc programme at the University. AAB is required for Biomedical Science.
BEng/MEng programmes: Applicants who have achieved at least AAB as well as at least A in maths and physics (+ A in chemistry for Chemical/ Petroleum Engineering) can apply for entry to Year 2 of a 4 or 5 year Engineering programme at the University.
This should be indicated on the UCAS application.
Applicants who do not meet the conditions of their year 2 offer will automatically be considered for year 1 entry.

Postgraduate entry requirements
Postgraduate academic entry requirements
Four year bachelor special degrees from recognised universities are considered for entry. A score of 55-59% is considered comparable to a UK 2.2.
For Business School programmes the minimum entry requirement is an undergraduate degree at UK Honours level (or a degree from a non-UK institution which is judged by the University to be of equivalent worth).
