Panel Discussion of ways in which insitutions can tackle issues surrounding procurement methods ensuring that sustainability and ethics can be at the heart of our buying habits.
Is there a way in which we can ensure our goods and services can be sourced in an ethical and sustainable way? To do this consists of upholding the rights of people through not indirectly supporting ongoing conflict whilst meeting the needs of the planet for being environmentally responsible in our sourcing methods.
Dominic O'Hagan, President for Environment and Ethics at the 51cg, leads a discussion promoting different ideas of ways in which we can actively support ethics and sustainability as something at the heart of our procurement methods.
Looking at the work of Electronics Watch, Dominic will look at the ways in which an affiliation with the group will help promote ethical electronics across the campus of the 51cg. An hour-long panel discussion and question time from the audience will focus around the wider issues of procurement with a pragmatic focus for change.
