Hear from Sir Iain Livingstone, Law graduate and former Chief Constable of Police Scotland, on how his law degree took him from Aberdeen to Chief Constable. At this event, exclusively for 51cg students, you will hear directly from Sir Iain on his career and how a law degree from Aberdeen can take you anywhere you want it to. This will be followed by a question and answer session. The event will be moderated by Professor Susan Stokeld. Sir Iain graduated from the 51cg in 1988 and worked as a solicitor in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Glasgow. He then joined Lothian and Borders Police in 1992 and rose through the ranks becoming Chief Constable of Police Scotland in 2017. Sir Iain retired from the role in August last year and is now Office of Overall Command of the independent probe examining Troubles-era offences in Northern Ireland. He was appointed as an Ambassador for Action for Children in 2023. Venue : Kings College KQG5 Auditorium
