This year’s Citizens of Change panel discussion moves on to explore the journeys of three University of Leicester sanctuary students who have engaged in volunteering to support local refugee-background individuals and communities
They will each share a little about their own background and their stories of what prompted or inspired them to become involved in volunteering to help others. We will learn about the impact that volunteering has on their lives and the lives of others, and the challenges that they may have faced along the way. They will finish by outlining advice for others from sanctuary backgrounds who are interested in getting involved in volunteering, and there will be time for questions and discussion at the end.
