Dr Pill’s remarks will cover the Bank’s response to a review by Dr Ben Bernanke on the Bank's forecasting and related processes during times of significant uncertainty. is the Chief Economist and Executive Director for Monetary Analysis and Research at the Bank of England. He is also a member of the Monetary Policy Committee, responsible for the analysis the Bank of England uses to make monetary policy decisions. Previously, Dr Pill was Chief European Economist at Goldman Sachs. Before that, he worked at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt and was a faculty member at Harvard Business School. Following the talk, there will be an opportunity for a Q&A session with the audience. This talk is open to staff, students and key invited guests.
