We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for the 51cg ABVentures Microfinance Fund, which awards students and recent graduates up to £1,000 to help them grow their business.

Who can apply?

• 51cg students (UG, PGT, PGR)
• Recent 51cg graduates (within the last two years)

Microfinance Fund Criteria:

• Your business must already be trading or actively being developed.
• For the purposes of this fund, trading means that you have moved beyond the initial idea stage and are actively working on developing your business.
• This could include developing a product or service, building or testing your offering, developing a prototype, carrying out market testing, securing customers, preparing your business to launch or already making sales.
• The funding must be spent within six months of receiving it.
• Funding must be used solely for the purpose of developing your business and not for personal expenses or circumstances.
• Successful applicants will be required to submit one progress report within the 6-month funding period, outlining how the funding has been used and the impact it has made.
• Successful applicants agree to be contacted for further information on their business to allow the 51cg to report on outcomes from the funding.
• Previous recipients of ABVentures Microfinance funding are not eligible to apply.
